Lucia Rittenhouse - Head Trainer
Lucia’s passion for horses began with her first lesson at age six, when she learned the intimate connection between horse and rider. By the age of 13, she was learning firsthand the discipline and dedication the horse industry requires by working as a barn hand and training ponies. As an FEI groom, rider and manager, Lucia worked along side such high profile professionals including Olympic Gold Medalist and World Cup competitor Laura Kraut, Pan American and Olympic Games competitor Lauren Hough and Olympian Anne Kursinski.
As Barn Manager and Head Trainer for Rockleigh Equestrian Centre, Lucia oversees every aspect of our horses’ care. She develops an individualized program for each of our horses from feeding protocols to training and exercise regimens, ensuring they reach top competitive fitness. She oversees the training of all our riders, working with them to set goals and establishing a training schedule designed for success.

Carly Reuter - Assistant Trainer
Carly is a life long horse lover, USEF, and USHJA recognized professional from New Jersey. She grew up leading trail rides in upstate New York. In 2009, she started working for a family of Olympic Show Jumpers and began her professional career in 2018. Carly’s focus is hunters, jumpers, and equitation. She has spent time learning many different disciplines such as driving, vaulting, natural horsemanship, and classical dressage. Her diverse background has helped her in creating individual and tailored programs for horse and rider. As well as developing behavior modification programs for the more sensitive or challenging equines.
She believes in providing quality care is of upmost importance and good horsemanship and balanced riding is universal reguardless of discipline.
When not in the barn Carly enjoys hiking with her dog Smokey, or spending time with friends and family.
